2. How to restore your status as a student in Canada?
If you wish to obtain a new study permit, you must:
- submit your application within 90 days of losing your status
- explain all of the facts and circumstances that prevented you from complying with the conditions of your permit
- keep meeting the requirements for your stay
- meet all the remaining conditions listed on your permit
- please explain the reason why you did not extend your status before its expiration, and
- pay your fees
3. How much does it cost to restore status in Canada?
The total fees to restore the study permit in Canada will be 350 CAD; this includes the price for restoration ($200) and a new study permit ($150). Also, while waiting on your application, you may not continue to attend school or work until your status has been restored and a new work or study permit has been issued.
